Description The Commodity Function at Romeo Power is different from your normal OEM experience. The REMOTE Commodity Role in Supply Chain at Romeo Power is equal parts Commodity Manager, Product Manager, Quality Manager, Supply Chain Designer and Multi Plant Manager. Multi Plant Manager?! Precisely! - Commodity is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for every Manufacturing Plant that we spend a dollar in. - Commodity holds responsibility for margin expansion from a total cost of ownership standpoint. Thus, we cannot simply exist as a Transaction House. We must be upfront driving timely design freezes, advanced product quality planning throughout the value chain, robust Supply Chain design and disciplined Supplier selection. Our decisions must be driven by the perfect marriage of DATA, QUALITY, TEAMWORK, DELIVERY and COST. An AGILE, ADAPTABLE, ALIGNED and TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED Supply Chain is the only that WE can win. The Commodity Specialist is responsible for developing and executing Sourcing Strategies that enable Product Innovation Key Responsibilities: (REMOTE)

• Build Strategic Partnerships with Best in Class Cutting Edge Suppliers
• Develop and Execute Strategic Sourcing for Responsible Category to obtain optimal Supply Chain Performance and Results
• Perform Should Cost Analysis on Category Parts and Communicate Results throughout the Value Chain
• Perform Segmentation Analysis on Category Spend and Utilize Results to reduce Overall Total Cost of Ownership
• Lead Negotiations and Contract Management to obtain optimal terms for Short, Medium and Long Term Programs.
• Develop thorough Technical Understanding of Products and Processes Undertaken to Successfully bring them to Market (Quality Requirements, Manufacturing Processes, Logistics, Marketing, etc.)
• Seamlessly Collaborate with Value Chain Members (Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Program Management, Quality, Suppliers, etc.) to ensure Business Goals & Objectives are achieved Education
  • BA/BS -
  • Contract Negotiation and Lifecycle Management Experience
  • At least 3+ of experience in a Technical Global Commodity Role
  • Midwest commodity manager highly preferred
  • Bilingual Mandarin a plus Additional Requirements
