Job Description:
A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their
Revenue Cycle Management team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily goals for cash collections and Account Receivable over
90 days are met
Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions
to resolve them promptly
Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party
collection agencies
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college
preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical collections with
knowledge of insurance reimbursements
Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with
CPR+ is preferred
Familiarity with basic accounting practices and coding (ICD-9, CPT,
HCPCS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel,
and Outlook
