Title: Controller Company: Aerospace Manufacturing Compensation: $140,500 to $180,250 base salary Location: San Diego, CA A client of ours in the aerospace manufacturing industry is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial control function. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance and strategic execution. Key Responsibilities • Lead the accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute finance and accounting strategy • Ensure compliance with GAAP and or IFRS standards • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation and reporting • Direct budget development, financial forecasting, and variance analysis • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes • Provide financial analysis related to capital investments, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations • Support project accounting activities, including percentage of completion revenue recognition • Analyze cost structures, capital expenditures, and operational performance • Lead, develop, and manage an accounting team to meet business objectives Qualifications • 15 plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience • Manufacturing experience required, aerospace industry experience strongly preferred • Significant experience in project accounting, including percentage of completion method revenue recognition • Strong ERP and MRP systems experience • Advanced Excel skills • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and lead change • Strong communication and leadership capabilities • CPA preferred Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
