Summary:The Product Marketing Specialist will play a key role in defining and activating our event, partnership & sponsorship strategy to amplify the Yokohama brand and its specific products. In this role you will help deliver the foundation for an activation plan to launch marketing programs that increase consideration of Yokohama Tire. You will collaborate in Yokohama events and with our Partners & Sponsored Athletes to develop programs and generate content that creates brand affinity; accelerating business results including brand consideration and intent. Your contribution to our teams' work will have a measurable impact on our brand and business. Ultimately you are a doer, with high drive and strong sense of accountability. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across many teams including Sales, Motorsports, Product Planning and all aspects of Marketing functions. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-moving environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Sponsorships

  • Work closely with the Product Management team to meet current event, partnership & sponsorship contractual requirements
  • Contribute to optimizing the Team Yokohama roster of category specific influencers.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the business of current partnerships, Team Yokohama members, and assigned motorsport sponsorships
  • Ensures execution of contractual deliverables though organized and efficient tracking methods
  • Assist in Co-creating content with Team Yokohama members, key media outlets and partners
  • Coordinate Yokohama's Sponsorship Analytics platform which includes analyzing social media data for internal decision making Partnerships
    • Identify growth opportunities and retention strategies with Yokohama's existing product marketing partnerships
    • Focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with industry organizations and their respective marketing & content team, in a variety of business categories
    • Assist in collaborating with partners to design and implement co-marketing campaigns that align with Yokohama's strategy
    • Explore product placement opportunities within media platformsEvents
      • Support the Events Sr Coordinator with delivery of on-site activations as it relates to partnership integration, content creation and digital platforms
      • Assist wider Product Marketing department with events and activities
      • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for othersGeneral
        • Assist with overall Product Marketing's budget & accountable for budget as supplied by Manager(s)What are we looking for in a candidate?
          • Content & Experience Creation. Your creativity will be a key driver in the development of content that is on brand, creative and sharable for both Yokohama channels and its partners/athletes.
          • Consumer Understanding & Insights. An Ideal candidate will need to understand consumer behaviors on social platforms, media mediums and current events/"what's hot" in order to generate most impactful engagement

          • You are a results-oriented, highly motivated, hands-on leader able to participate in a vision to drive change internallyEssential Knowledge and Skills:
            • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing, PR, or a related field
            • 3-5 year of work experience in a marketing role
            • Familiar with social media & data analytics
            • Experience problem solving, negotiating, thinking ahead and general business acumen
            • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
            • Strong customer service orientation
            • Light lifting required
            • Ability to Travel 50%+ primarily on weekends
            • Ability to work long hours with minimal supervision
            • Market (Automotive, Motorsports and Tire) Knowledge - preferred
            • Graphic Design experience - preferredEducation and Experience:
              • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
              • 3-5 years related experience in agency, marketing in automotive sports, event management and/or motorsports#CB
