DESCRIPTION As part of our Transportation team, the Traffic Associate (Civil Associate II) - will develop ITS, fiber optic, traffic signal, traffic control, signing, and pavement marking plans, as well as perform traffic operational analyses. The Traffic Engineer will utilize their knowledge and skills to support our project teams in the delivery of projects through planning and design. RESPONSIBILITIES -

• Prepare design plans, construction documents, specifications, and construction estimates
• Prepare traffic engineering reports and analysis
• Provide signal timing analysis, plans, and implementation
• Professionally represent Michael Baker International at technical meetings with agency staff, clients, and contractors
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and conducting business development activities
• Work on transportation infrastructure projects for Caltrans and local agencies
• Be available to occasionally travel to other local offices PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of progressive traffic engineering design and operational experience
  • Certified Engineer in-Training (EIT) preferred
  • Proficient computer skills in MicroStation and AutoCAD and in traffic operations software Synchro, TruTraffic, and HCS. Experience with SignCAD is desirable
  • Experience with traffic signal timing is desirable COMPENSATION The salary range for this position -is $74,000-$111,000. - - This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. - BENEFITS We offer a comprehensive benefits package including: -
