are looking for an experienced industrial engineer as a part of the
overall assembly and integration product team. This role will be
responsible for providing manufacturing analysis to support
advanced technologies necessary for the overall production goals of
the product. You will be a founding member helping to create
standard processes and procedures within the subject area while
collaborating with the design/manufacturing teams throughout the
conceptual, preliminary, and detail design. This person will be
heavily involved in the planning and execution of prototype and
flight test vehicles'' manufacturing lines. You will work with the
airframe design and manufacturing teams to optimize assembly
metrics, while maintaining a design for manufacturing philosophy,
to achieve the product''s long- and short-term manufacturing
requirements. Our ideal candidate has extensive expertise in clean
sheet, development programs.What you can do:Provide strong
technical guidance for the design, manufacturing, and tooling
groupsBreak manufacturing work into crew load plansEstimate and
track time for manufacturing activitiesPredict production
manufacturing timesWork with design team to optimize for flow and
minimal labor contentDetermine appropriate learning curvesPartner
with "should cost" engineering team to maintain constant estimate
of production vehicle costsEstimate facility and operation space
requirementsSupport the development of manufacturing technology and
its transition into a production environment.Support the
fabrication efforts for prototype and flight test vehiclesInterface
will all engineering teams to ensure design for manufacturing
principles are properly appliedWhat you can contribute:B.S. in a
relevant engineering fieldA minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing
or tooling design experience (an equivalent combination of
education and experience may be considered)Must have experience in
aviation or automotive production environmentsProven experience
with composite tooling design and fabricationExtensive experience
in aircraft or automotive production environmentsExperience with
prototypingExperience working with cross-functional teams to
improve the assembly and FAL process of a product (Design for
Manufacturing)Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
communicationHighly collaborative and works well both independently
and with a teamInternal and external customer focusAbility to solve
complex mechanical design problemsExcellent organizational skills
and attention to detailMust have the ability to independently
prioritize and accomplish work within time
constraintsSelf-motivated and forward-thinking
personalityOpen-minded attitudeProficiency with MS Office SuiteYou
