R&D Machinist -Job DescriptionSeeking an R&D Machinist with diverse skills in producing prototype parts. Ideal candidate will setup and operate various machine shop tools such as manual mill, lathes, surface grinders, and saws to produce complex parts from various types of materials not limited to metals. - Kulicke and Soffa has also expanded our capabilities with the addition of CNC equipment and experience with G and M code and setting up and operating CNC equipment is also desired but not required. -Experience/Job Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 year's experience working as a machinist
• Work independently and with minimal supervision to complete assigned work
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and typical hand-held equipment
• Experience in reading, interpreting, and understanding engineering drawing and specifications
• Must have good basic math and geometry skills
• Work with Standard and Metric dimensioning
• Work directly with Engineering team members to complete each project
• Work with various types of stainless steels, aluminums, plastics, and other materials.
• Determine proper feeds and speed rates for different materials for optimal cutting tool life and finish
• Select proper tools and materials for the job
• Plan the sequence of cutting and operations to complete each part
• Inspect accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications
• Responsible to clean and maintain shop equipment and work area
• Maintain schedules for tracking of work -Experience Desired
  • Prototype/low quantity rapid build shop experience
  • CNC Lathe and Mill experience in programming, set-up, and operation
    Educational Requirements
    • High School Diploma
      -Desired Educational Background
      • CNC Operator Training
      • CNC Programmer Training

        • Cincom L32X CNC Swiss Screw Machine (June 2022)
        • GF Agie Cut P 350 CNC Wire EDM (June 2022)
        • Hass OM-2 Office Mill, CNC
        • 2 conventional vertical mills
        • 1 engine lathe with 3 jaw
        • 1 tool room lathe with 5C and 3 jaw
        • Sheet metal equipment - 24" Brake, 24" shear, 6" notcher, assorted hand and power tools
        • 2 Surface grinders (Wet and dry)
        • All typical support equipment to perform basic machine shop work
