National City, CA | Immediate Openings Job Summary We are hiring
Marine Painters to support U.S. Navy ship maintenance and repair
programs in San Diego. This role focuses on shipboard preservation
and corrosion control work on high?priority Navy vessels. ?
Candidates with active DBIDS, OSHA 10, and Firewatch certification
can start ASAP. Key Responsibilities Perform shipboard painting,
touch?ups, and preservation work Conduct surface preparation
including sanding, grinding, masking, chipping, and cleaning Assist
with coating application and material handling Work aboard ships,
piers, dry docks, and industrial marine sites Follow NAVSEA
standards and strict safety procedures Complete assignments on
schedule in a fast?paced, project?driven environment Required
Skills & Experience 2 years of shipboard or marine painting
experience preferred Hands?on experience with preservation,
coating, surface prep, masking, and cleanup Knowledge of marine
coating processes and surface preparation techniques Comfortable
working in confined spaces, at heights, and in shipboard
environments Ability to lift 50 lbs , stand for extended periods,
and operate pneumatic and electric tools Preferred Qualifications
Active DBIDS OSHA 10 Firewatch Certification (If you do not already
have OSHA 10 or Firewatch, we can schedule this for you) Prior
shipyard, ship repair, or industrial/manufacturing experience
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required Shift Schedule ?
Monday – Friday ?? 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM ? Overtime available based on
project needs Work Environment Navy shipboard and shipyard
industrial setting Work performed in confined spaces, at heights,
and active industrial areas PPE required and provided Team?based
environment with onsite supervision Job Type & Location This is a
Contract position based out of National City, CA. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility
requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to
change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program
