history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Security
Manager 2 in our Northridge, CA location. The Security Industrial
Manager 2 will have the responsibility of developing and
administering security programs and procedures for classified or
proprietary materials, documents, and equipment, which will include
the following responsibilities: Role Responsibilities: Lead a team
of security professionals to ensure consistent application of the
leadership characteristics that are expected of all employees
within the organization in a high intensity, fast paced
environment. Oversee physical security activities to ensure secure
workspaces meet requirements as defined by ICD-705, UFC 4-010-05,
and Northrop Grumman standards. Develop and administer security
programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials,
documents, and equipment. Study and implement federal security
regulations that apply to company operations. Obtain rulings,
interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with
regulations from government agencies. Prepare manuals outlining
regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and
keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to
restricted records and materials. Supervise security education
programs. Oversee internal security audits. Manage security
investigations and assist in preparing reports specifying
preventive action to be taken. Provide direction to security team
members to assist with the execution of their statement of work.
Assist with team members' professional development and growth.
Ensure employee engagement and collaboration across teams within
the Security organization. Provide leadership, guidance, and
professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels.
Develop and implement security policy and standards across the
program enterprise. Ensure all program performance objectives as
well as key milestones and deliverables are met. Assist in managing
a security budget within an established target. Manage program
security compliance and operations across multiple functions,
Physical Security, COMSEC, Investigations, and Document Control
Management Basic Qualifications: Must have 8 years of security
experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of security
experience with a Masters; 12 years of experience accepted in lieu
of degree ?Advanced level of understanding of US Govt, DoD, DAF,
and NG security policies. Must be able to resolve complex security
matters using policy that may not always provide specific guidance;
successful applicants must be able to make security compliance
decisions with limited facts. Must have an Active DoD Top Secret
Clearance that is in-scope Granted or renewed in the last 5 years
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access (SAP) and
Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearances/access
Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to perform and manage
diverse and dispersed security programs and teams across multiple
disciplines (entire program security spectrum), to include
Program/Industrial Security and Contractor Program Security Officer
(CPSO) duties, Physical Security, Personnel Security (PERSEC), and
Security Education and Training (SETA) Strong interpersonal and
leadership skills with the ability to interact with
internal/external customers Extensive knowledge and experience with
ICD-705 construction and accreditation processes; completion of
ICD-705 and Site Security Manager (SSM) courses highly preferred
Certification by the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS)
as a Physical Security Professional (PSP) or possession of a
Physical Security Certification (PSC) from the Defense
Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s (DCSA) Security
Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. Demonstrated
experience in development of complex security plans and proposal
writing Experience and direct participation (working group and/or
leadership positions) with Government/Industry Security
Organizations (ISWG, NDIA, AIA, NCMS, etc.) Proven experience in
planning and managing staffing and hiring processes for large
teams, to include partnerships with HR, Talent Acquisition, hiring
managers and program management leadership Excellent communication,
writing and organization skills, enabling effective communications
with team members, fellow employees and government officials
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal oversight
Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00 The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid
holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal
