Job Description:

Primary ResponsibilitiesDefine and articulate the mission, strategic direction and priorities of the Emerging Technology organization within Business Technology Solutions, by fostering open communication and active collaboration within and across IT and business units. Provides governance models for prioritizing and managing emerging technology investments across the enterprise.Responsible for researching and assessing next generation technologies that can accelerate and support the company's technology agenda, as well as exploring ways to improve the existing technology processes and challenge the status quo.Conducts Proofs of Concept/Value and pilots.-- Participates in the development of project charters and business cases to describe and quantify the benefits of applying new technologies and process methodologies.-- Participates in enterprise strategy projects including internal business consulting, process design work, and the application of Lean digital and Lean design thinking methodologies to business operations.Participate in strategic planning efforts for the department, ensuring that technology programs and initiatives align to enterprise objectives and strategies. Communicate the company's emerging technology strategy to leadership, employees, customers, and stakeholders.Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to internal customers at all levels by evaluating and identifying appropriate technology to deliver on the organization's objectives. Provides tools and frameworks to ensure consistency of approach and quality across engagements.-- Influences adoption of best practice methodologies and influences a culture of continuous improvement.Engage with business units and senior leadership to gain support of strategic initiatives, identify potential opportunities for emerging technologies, and partnering to establish strong working relationships.Rapidly experiment with new technologies and potential business cases, while assessing scalability, prioritization, business impact and ROI.-- This includes responsibility for incubating and implementing new technologies to improve business processes and increase return on investmentSpecific Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate and manage the performance of direct reports, building a high caliber team with the skills and capabilities needed to deliver the required results.-- In addition to the day to day management of Emerging Technology resources, instill an entrepreneurial culture and adopt an entrepreneurial management style leading to focused delivery at expected quality and cost.Research, evaluate and incubate next generation technologies.-- Continuously search and test new concepts and ideas for improvement, innovation and acceleration.Consult with internal business partners to develop charters, methodologies and key strategies to identify, quantify and execute on Emerging Technology objectivesDevelop frameworks for emerging technology assessment and prioritization. Evaluate value streams and project portfolios to identify opportunities to maximize value and improve process flows.-- Prioritize recommended solutions and evaluate completed projects against predetermined criteria for success.Manage collaborative relationships with vendors, partners and suppliers to support emerging technology initiatives.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology, Masters preferred.Certification in Lean Sigma, Design Thinking and Robotics Process Automation preferred.12+ years relevant experience in Information Technology, digital consulting, digital design, robotic process automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, project/product management, and cross-functional leadership.Demonstrated experience introducing new and innovative technologies that enable improved business performance across a variety of functions including corporate, commercial, supply chain and research/development.Proven strategic thought leadership and demonstrated experience driving innovation and change.Ability to manage multiple priorities, build relationships and work effectively with internal and external partners.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating and delivering compelling presentations to executive audiences inside and outside the companyDemonstrated strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills in a highly matrixed organization.Knowledge and Skills UsedDemonstrated competency in creating and executing on strategic plans.Proven track record of leading large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving organizational change.Demonstrated success with meeting the needs of a wide range of employees while driving team performance, monitoring results and appropriately allocating resources.Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the successful execution of multiple complex projects.Strong experience and knowledge of functional tools and infrastructure.A deep understanding of metrics/dashboards that drive an environment and culture of continuous improvement.Progressive experience in leading employees in multiple locations, and significant experience developing and implementing solutions.Possesses strong problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills.Results oriented with strong time management and project management skills and must be highly organized and driven to succeed.Strong leadership skills, leading by example, driving employee commitment through actions, and empowering employees to reach their full potential.
