Start your phenomenal career with Allied Universal - Technology Services today! Job Description The Director of Installation manages and leads the regions installation team. Responsible for all activities, installation team members, financial management and KPIs for the installation group in the region. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible and accountable for the financial performance of Installation for the region. This includes reaching Revenue targets and Margin Targets.
  • Responsible for installation KPI management / oversite and achieving the assigned targets for each by individual/project for the installation team. These KPI's include - Utilization, Absorption, Project Slip, Overtime Management and other defined by RVP and Corporate
  • Responsible for working with the RVP to create strategy and supporting goals in the region for the installation team to ensure all applicable targets are met
  • Responsible for driving employee engagement of the Installation team to keep attrition to a minimum
  • Responsible for installation team staffing plan development and maintenance. This includes requesting requisitions, hiring, load balancing, etc.
  • Builds and maintains an effective installation organization committed to customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth
  • Supervise performance of field installation staff and responds to escalated issues in field
  • Works with sales, service, and engineering teams for Sales-to-Ops and Install-to-Service turnovers.
  • Oversees Installation Managers, manpower schedules and loading to ensure contract and project compliance
  • Proactively oversees regions slip process for prevention of project slippage
  • Site visits to ensure Quality Control of various projects; ensure conformance to client specifications and company requirements
  • Heavy focus on proactive client engagement - follows up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution
  • Serves as safety champion for responsible branch(s). Ensure reports, incidents, workers' compensation (injury) reports, and OSHA logs are funneled to the proper personnel and are up-to-date and complete QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering or Project Management (techniques and tools)
    • Possession of valid state issued driver's license required
    • Possession of state specific licensing (i.e., Class D or Alarm Installer etc.) or ability to apply and hold license once in position
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Word)
    • Ability to travel to job-sites as needed (overnight travel maybe required for work at remote site projects, meetings, and/or training)
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
    • Must be detail-oriented and organized
    • Strong, planning and reporting skills
    • Possess excellent verbal, written communication and follow-up skills
    • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
    • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others
    • While not required, the following qualifications will enhance hiring consideration:
    • College degree in business administration or management
    • Professional certifications related to project and/or resource management
    • 7 or more years of experience in Engineering or Project Management (techniques and tools) PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.
      • The employee must constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms, and must be able to drive a vehicle. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis at client sites.
      • The job is generally performed in an office setting; however, during site visits the employee may be subject to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for short periods of time.
      • The ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines (copiers, printers, etc.) and telephones, but occasionally may be above-normal for portions of the shift.
      • The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
      • Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
