Works with business and technical teams to envision, design and develop technology products. They are expected to define the product vision and ensure its features support the business strategic plans. They use their deep knowledge of technology, processes, methodologies and principles to lead their product teams to successful outcomes. They are able to learn and adapt to new business domains in a short space of time and has experience living the full product Lifecyle. Job Profile Summary Responsible for working with BTS (Business Technology Solution) Leaders and Managers to execute the strategic vision, perform IT strategic planning, roadmap, and execution planning for product/programs. Essential Functions Strategic Planning --- Responsible for working with BTS Leaders and Managers to execute the strategic vision, perform IT strategic planning, roadmap, and execution planning for product/programs. --- Presents projects or workplans for management approval; cross-functional collaboration for approvals of strategic and product/program solution. Monitors and reports status to assure adherence to cost, quality and schedule, and alignment to BTS Transformation vision. --- Develops execution planning on IT Operating frameworks --- Develops strategic plans and execution plans with IT initiatives such as developing product and capability offerings to broader business units --- Performs market research, trends, conduct surveys and assessments such as gap assessments and maturity assessments to further inform the strategies and roadmaps for BTS --- Performs benefits realization analysis and reports aligned with transformational values at BTS --- Manage, monitor, and report on Balanced Scorecard for BTS; Co-develop enhancements of metrics and measures in BTS Balanced Scorecard with the Manager and/or Sr. Leaders. --- On a regular basis, interfaces with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, business units and/or customers. --- Regularly interacts with IT senior management and business unit/customer executives to resolve critical issues relating to project and/or operational requirements. --- Implements strategic policies by leveraging best practice frameworks, methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Product/Program Management --- Independently manage multiple product capabilities and programs typically large size and complexity. --- Develop product/program deliverables including workplans, schedules, and status reports. --- Facilitate meetings including preparing agendas and coordinating schedules and materials, documenting meeting minutes, following-up on action items; gathering, organizing and distributing project related documentation. --- Lead in the creation and execution of product/program work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. --- Lead as a Technical Program Manager to support BTS (IT) organization with Resilience efforts with the ability to facilitate development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) teams to accomplish within timeline and budget --- Minimize our exposure and risk across multiple projects; Conduct risk monitoring and controls during a project's duration to ensure ability to achieve expected outcomes, on time and on budget. --- Define the strategic approach to program delivery and ensuring the alignment of each tactical delivery plan aligns with BTS measures such as OKR (Objectives Key Results) and Balanced Scorecard. --- Collaborate with Product/Program Stakeholders and leadership to prioritize deliverables. --- Design success measures, tailoring existing best practices to the needs of the product/program team and stakeholders. --- Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs. Job Complexities --- Uses skills as a seasoned, experience IT professional to direct other product or technical team(s) to add real value to business (Run IT like a Business). --- Works on a diverse range of critical and complex problems of significant scope, where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, an in-depth understanding of current business and technological trends, organizational objectives and political dynamics. --- Exercises judgment as a seasoned professional and manager with a full understanding of industry best practices and established policies and procedures. Makes decisions that require integrating knowledge of best practices, competitors, product lines, business cycle, product development and financial information. --- Authorizes changes in departmental processes and procedures. Independence: --- Works under minimal direction from functional executive. --- Establishes and communicates departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with function and company strategic direction. --- Provides operational and project direction to department managers and monitors performance against agreed upon objectives. --- May make exceptions to policy under unique and/or urgent circumstances. --- Utilizes a broad internal and external network of professional contacts and resources to explore new approaches for solving problems and enhancing the department's capabilities. --- Reviews managers' objectives and results to evaluate success of operation, quality, schedules and budgets. --- Results and progress toward goals is periodically reviewed by functional executive. Supervision Received or Extended --- No responsibility for the supervision of others however may guide and advise less experienced Product/Program Managers Impact --- Influences senior management on decisions related to departmental and functional priorities, schedules, and plans. --- Contribute to overall "New Ways of Working" at BTS while cultivating Business Innovation across functions. Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used --- Product Management: Responsible for the success of development and launches of product, capability, or service in IT and work collaboratively with technical partners, financial and vendor partners. Preferred candidates need to demonstrate that he/she was able to stand up new products or capabilities from start to finish for an organization. --- Program Management: Manages programs and initiatives mapped to business objectives to align with BTS transformation vision and mission. --- Strategic Management and Analytics: Ability to communicate the function's vision and the department direction and set aligned goals. Provides resources and creates systems to measure results. Apply market research discipline and have a good understanding on competitor, financial and industry dynamics. --- Team Collaboration: Leads change, manages conflict, and fosters collaboration. --- Ethics: Deals with others in an honest manner, assures adherence to company policies and addresses questionable business practices. --- Customer Focus: Drives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback, and ensures commitments are met. --- Communication and Executive-level Presentations: Provides others with reliable information, delivers informative and persuasive presentations. Uses good listening skills and negotiates effectively. --- IT Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial concepts such as capitalization/amortization/chargeback/cloud costs (Apptio knowledge a plus) Typical Education --- BS/BA Required --- MBA or MS/MA preferred Typical Range of Experience --- Typically have 7 to 10 years of directly related experience --- 7 years product and program management experience, strategic planning, or consulting background --- 7 years' experience managing large cross functional project teams Licenses or Certificates --- CSM (Certified Scrum Master), Agile, Preferred --- SAFe certification Preferred, not required --- ITIL 4 (IT Strategic Management) Preferred --- Six Sigma certified Preferred, not required
