Job Description:
This $1.2 Billion project represents the design/build
improvement of 16 miles of the existing I-405 freeway beginning at
SR73 to I-605 of I-405. This project is managed jointly by the US
construction firms OHL North America and Astaldi Construction
Corporation, fully supported by our international parent companies,
collaborating to form the joint venture OC 405 Partners established
to improve infrastructure in Orange County, California.+
Communicating & working closely with all fields of project
including engineers, project managers, Quality, IT and
Owner/Authority Document Control+ Maintain and update the documents
/ plans contained in the PlanGrid Construction Software+
Participate in all the following document control processes and
procedures.+ Follow OCTA and Caltrans document filing / coding
requirements / Contract / Technical Provisions / OC405 Closeout ID
taxonomy.+ Process for all official documents to the Agency in
Aconex.+ Process per routing and distribution matrix / workflow for
documents.+ Follow procedures for electronic and hard copy document
storage.+ Uploading and processing documents using SharePoint+
Uploading and downloading documents using Aconex+ Uploading and
maintaining documents using PlanGrid+ File naming+ Maintain and
update tracking systems to for the following:+ Correspondence+ To
and from Agencies and cities+ To and from utility companies+ To and
from subcontractors and consultants+ DBE records+ Submittals+
RFI's+ NCR's+ NDC's+ Critical Activity Points+ Deficiency Lists+
Punch Lists+ Materials+ Daily Inspection Reports+ Environmental
reports+ Permits+ Right-of-Way notifications+ Redlines+ Final CAD
as-builts+ Project schedule+ Construction work plans+ Requests for
Change Order+ Monthly Invoice to Agency+ Extra work bills+ Meeting
minutes+ Safety reports+ Survey notes+ Photos and videos+
Subcontractor retention release closeout+ Project closeout+
Maintain and update tracking systems to for the following and
classify documents provided to the Agency and / or cities and
utilities as:+ + Submittals - provided for review and approval.+
Transmittals - documents provided for information and / or record.+
Participate in the classifying of documents as to whether they are
Design or Construction documents:+ + Design - all documents
required for review and approval to develop the project plans and
specifications including:+ Calculations+ Design reports+ PDF plan
files+ CAD files+ Comment review forms+ Construction - documents
developed to address requirements of the plans and specifications
including:+ Shop Plans - related to plans that address permanent
work such as prestress plans, overhead sign structures, etc.+
Calculations+ Design reports+ PDF plan files+ CAD files+ Comment
review forms+ Working Drawings - related to plans for temporary
work such as excavations, column guying, falsework, etc.+ +
Calculations+ PDF plans+ Comment review forms+ Maintain and update
tracking systems/logs for Agency document status including:+ +
Submitted for review.+ Transmitted for record.+ Revise and
resubmit.+ No Exceptions and / or Approved.+ Date submitted for
review.+ Required review duration.+ Response due date+
Ball-in-Court+ Participate and help maintain the version control,
process, and updates to PlanGrid including:+ Record Drawings (plans
and specifications)+ RFI's+ Tasks/Issues+ NCR's+ Reference
Documents+ Redlines+ Directive Letters+ Organization and attention
to detail relating to Document Management and Quality Records+
Familiarity with computers utilizing web browsers, SaaS systems and
Microsoft programs including: Excel, Word, SharePoint. Adobe
Acrobat and BlueBeam Revu.+ Good oral and written communication
skills preferred.+ A working knowledge of Caltrans Specifications
and construction manuals preferre+ A working knowledge of blueprint
reading preferred.+ Associate's degree in engineering technology
desirable+ Two (2) year's work experience in on large heavy civil
construction projects desirable (preferably on Caltrans projects
and / or Design-Build Delivery projects) OHL NA and its affiliates
