  • Coordinate and manage information technology projects to support ongoing system operations, planned enhancements or new implementations.
  • Leads and directs multiple projects or one large project.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Must be familiar with scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance. Manage the activities and employees engaged in support of corporate enterprise applications and information systems. Work closely with the various user departments to identify and select project priorities, create plans, define, document and implement projects. Effectively lead and manage cross-functional teams consisting of internal and outsourced team members. Execute project plans to meet business goals. Communicate with all levels of management to keep them informed of project status and of other issues as required. Conduct feasibility studies of high priority projects and evaluate alternate implementation of services and systems, including business justification and risk assessment. Work closely with the other IT groups to coordinate information systems development plans and provide support with systems integration as required. Maintain current knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies to support requirements of IT systems. Provide timely communications to management and other key members on project status. Responsible for creating various documents throughout a project which will consist but not limited to Visio, project plans, presentations, budget reports, or scope documents. Will be required to mediate between team members or groups to ensure conflicts are resolved Report to the Senior Project Manager when assigned to a Program.QUALIFICATIONS:EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
    • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or working towards certification
    • Educational attainment equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • Thorough experience in information systems associated with the position
    • Business information systems experience in a corporate setting
    • Knowledgeable in Project Management methodologies in order to effectively develop project objectives and manage the team's activitiesKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
      • Knowledge of computer technology, systems development, data systems analysis and design
      • Knowledge in programming, networks, network security, maintenance, software and hardware
      • Knowledge of general business operations and functions
      • Knowledge in Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)
      • Ability to plan and manage projects activities
      • Ability to manage project budgets, accruals, and purchase requests
      • Ability to establish effective interpersonal relations
      • Experience in managing multiple projects is required;
      • Proven success in managing a project from start to finish
      • Solid organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced business environment
      • Excellent written communication skills
      • Strong verbal communication skills including public speaking skills
      • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
      • Proficient in tracking project budgets
      • Strong collaborative skills, able to partner with different functional areas, both internally and externally
      • Strong analytical skills
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
