Job Overview:
Overair is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to assist with overseeing our Accounting Department located in Santa Ana, CA. This role will report directly to the Controller. The Accounting Manager is responsible for running the month end close process, identifying and implementing efficiencies, as well as leading a small team of accountants. The right candidate will have strong general ledger experience, be detail-oriented, efficient, and ensure financial controls are followed. -
This will be a Full-time onsite position.
Roles and Responsibilities: -


  • Oversee and own the month end close and assist with monthly financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in providing accounting leadership and direction while coaching staff as appropriate on items such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and proper recording of financial transactions, and prepare recommendations relative to accounting reserves, accruals, and expenditures.
  • Ensure accounting team's commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare, review and provide flux analysis and key metrics and other ad-hoc reporting to the broader FP&A team in a timely manner.
  • Aid and assist financial analysts in preparation and analysis of annual budget and periodic forecasts, as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with FP&A and other departments to successfully align on effective accounting operating standards and practices.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Research financial information for analysis for any new standards or regulation change.
  • Document and interpret complicated financial information for managers and executives.
  • Advise on procedure and financial management as well as developing policies.
  • Participate in the coordination, creation and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Supervise staff and provide development and coaching where appropriate. Communicate clearly and follow-up timely to ensure consistent execution of key processes by all team members.
  • Participate in other assignments and ad hoc projects as required.

    Required Qualifications: -

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience (some public accounting experience preferred)
    • Prior management experience
    • Strong Knowledge of US GAAP
    • Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience
    • Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

      Preferred Qualifications: -

      • CPA or CPA-candidate preferred

            Job type: Full-time
            Overair expects to pay: $95,000 - $135,000 per year. Your level and the compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
