better future. Role and Responsibilities Samsung Electronics
America is seeking a qualified Sr. Manager, Inbound Logistics
professional that will manage all inbound transload activities as
well as special projects. Samsung is looking for a proven leader
within the Logistics Industry who will assume responsibility for
leading a team improving all measuring and managing transload and
inbound special projects.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage ad-hoc projects assigned from HQ and business units
- Manage multiple inbound transload operations from Mexico and
overseas
- Set-up, review, update inbound process SOPs on a regular
basis
- Review & provide corrective action plan for monthly KPIs with
our inbound service providers
- Review & provide direction on weekly dedicated chassis usage
with service provider
- Review & provide redlines on inbound logistics contracts
- Review approval requests from service providers on cost related
items and finalized special projects
- Manage the aging days on the Laredo border for inbound loads
coming from the factories
- Explore opportunities to improve overall lead times
- Manage team of Inbound professionals
- Insure connectivity and alignment between internal
stakeholders
- Stand-Up and stabilize new inbound gateways and processes to
reduce lead-time and lower cost per unit.
- Maintain processes in full compliance with all federal, state,
and local regulatory guidelines.
- Manage and review system data to match and fix the discrepancy
issue from internal system
- Review open aged inbound data and provide corrective action to
team to close Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Logistics, Supply
Chain, Industrial Engineering or relevant fields; or equivalent
combination of education, experience, and training.
- 5+ years of proven experience in inbound management, project
management, transloading, port or terminal operations, ocean
carrier operations, transportation strategy, intermodal shipping,
or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to
analyze problems, gathering information, generating options, and
guiding the team action.
- Bilingual in Korean is a MUST.
- 8-10+ years of logistics experience required.
- 5-10+ years of supervisory experience.
- Advanced Excel, SAP, WMS and ERP.
- Able to utilize expert supply chain operations of process from
factory to customer and is able to identify and predict unlikely
problems within the delivery cycle.
- Has the scope of authority to make changes to process, and
personnel, to meet departmental objectives.
- The ability to develop, read, prepare, interpret, and
understand product shipment information from various order and
shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of
transportation documents.
- Resolves problems of moderate to large scope where analysis of
data requires the identification of obscure or undefined factors
and decisions have significant impact on business performance.
- Exercises judgment and makes decisions on business situations
outside established procedures and approves exceptional cases.
- Experience in working with a global company and supply
chain.
- Experience in consumer electronics and/or home appliances.
CALIFORNIA/NYC ONLY The salary range for this role, for candidates
based in CA, is expected to be between $157,000 and $173,000.
Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant
skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the
