Job Description:
The role of Regional Vice President is to strategically lead the
sales team within a defined geographic region for account
management, sales support and operational excellence. To thrive in
this role, you must be a leader who identifies gaps and challenges
and develops strategies to enhance performance. Having business
acumen is crucial in this role, you will be establishing, and
implementing short and long-term goals, strategic initiatives,
objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Accountabilities
include managing sales targets, market penetration, continuous
improvement, staffing, talent development, expenses, and
profitability. You will establish and cultivate productive
partnerships with internal and external customers, assessing and
suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions. This
role leads and influences at the strategic, operational, and
tactical levels of the business to ensure our corporate objectives
are met. Position responsibilities include:
- Lead, monitor, guide, and coach people leaders/ sales team to
achieve business targets, implement change, improve selling skills
(strategic and tactical) and build sustainable customer
relationships.
- Responsible for sales team development, communication and
execution of regional and national strategies that align with Long
Range Plans (LRP), Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Strategic
Deployment Plans (SDP).
- Analyze and evaluate business health with the objective to
attain optimal growth & development; tracks progress against
targets to improve (TTI) activities for annual SDP. Redirect team
to close gaps utilizing continuous improvement processes.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops and deliver effective
presentations at an executive level. Effectively communicate
verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
- Convey the Company's quality vision to team members and
customers and support their participation in the Company's quality
improvement effort.
- Support team members to maintain open level of communication
with all employees.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills to uphold and
articulate the organizational strategy and principles of our
company.
- Actively participate, lead, advise, or serve on committees,
meetings, and cross functional teams (i.e., planning, marketing,
finance, continuous improvement events, operations, policy making)
Position / Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will
need to have the following: Education:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related work
experience equivalent. Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience with at
least 5 years of sales leadership experience in the Home
Improvement Industry. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills with a performance
history of building positive partnerships while working
collaboratively with cross-functional business units and internal
and external customers.
- Influence and motivate others, coach, and develop, foster
teamwork, steps forward to address difficult issues, provides clear
direction, and champion's change.
- Effective communication, selling and relationship skills with
internal and external customers at all levels.
- Collaborative and trustworthy leader and team builder who
actively looks for ways to coach and build others while exhibiting
the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
- Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
practices.
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and
decision-making skills.
- Knowledgeable of continuous improvement processes.
- Coatings industry, product, and application knowledge.
- Validated record of achievement in a prior management position
is required.
- Track record of organizing and prioritizing work successfully
using project management and change management skills.
- Thinks operationally and strategically, analyzes issues, uses
sound judgment, generates new ideas/goes beyond the status
quo.
- Must have analytical, planning, and decision-making skills; and
demonstrated ability to use sales data for business decisions.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekend and holiday
hours.
- Travel up to 60% to include overnight travel required.
- Manage and abide motor vehicle and expense reporting according
