Ventura County is seeking a professional pharmacist to support
multiple pharmacy operations. This contract role offers two
distinct options, providing flexibility for those with varied
expertise and interests in pharmacy practice. Responsibilities:
Option 1: Float between three pharmacy locations, including the
main medical center, hospital, and infusion center pharmacy Option
2: Focus primarily on the infusion center pharmacy with an emphasis
on oncology medications Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care,
including medication preparation, dispensing, and patient
counseling Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and
effective medication use Adapt to variable shifts including 8- and
10-hour schedules, swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday
coverage Qualifications and Desired Experience: Pharmacist
licensure and required certifications Experience with chemotherapy
and oncology medications is a significant advantage Prior
experience with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred; training
available for qualified candidates Completion of PGY1 residency
strongly desired Ability to work full-time hours with flexibility
for varied shift schedules Local candidates preferred; applicants
willing to travel may be considered Location: Position is based in
Ventura County with potential travel between three pharmacy sites
Additional Details: Start date is ASAP, with an expected duration
of approximately 3 to 6 months; this role has potential to
transition to permanent employment Competitive compensation offered
