Job Description:
For more than 55 years, Family Health Centers of San Diego’s
(FHCSD) mission has been to provide caring, affordable,
high-quality health care and supportive services to everyone, with
a special commitment to uninsured, low-income and medically
underserved persons. FHCSD is one of the top 10 largest federally
qualified health centers (FQHCs) in the country. We operate more
than 90 sites across San Diego County, including 29 primary care
clinics, 23 behavioral health facilities, 10 physical
rehabilitation clinics, nine dental clinics, five vision clinics,
four outpatient substance use treatment programs, three mobile
medical units, two mobile counseling centers, two urgent care
centers, and a pharmacy. Our staff provides care to over 227,000
patients each year, of whom 91% are low-income and 29% are
uninsured. FHCSD provides care to all. Services include, but are
not limited to adult care, chronic disease management, pediatrics,
comprehensive women’s care including obstetrics, dental, vision,
case management, physical rehabilitation, speech therapy for
children, vaccinations, infectious diseases, behavioral health,
substance use counseling and a host of specialty services including
cardiology, podiatry, endocrinology, dermatology, among others.
FHCSD also offers supportive services to those who are unsheltered
and in need of intensive case management. The breadth of our clinic
locations, services and programs has grown over the last five
decades, making us the largest community clinic provider of health
care to the uninsured in the county and one of the top 10 largest
community clinic organizations in the nation. We are also the
largest health care safety-net provider, largest school-based
health care provider and the largest mental health provider in the
San Diego region. Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for
an Executive Assistant, Project Manager who plays a critical role
in supporting the Chief Operations Officer , offering a combination
of administrative process expertise and project management skills
to advance organizational objectives. Responsibilities: Coordinates
and manages the project calendars for the Chief Operations Officer
, ensuring efficient scheduling and organization of key meetings.
Engages in detailed managerial and organizational analyses and
studies at the request of the leadership, offering insights and
recommendations for improvement. Facilitates the enhancement of
managerial effectiveness and operational efficiency through the
design and implementation of effective systems and procedures.
Participates in, coordinates, documents meeting information and
ensures follow-up on meetings items, tracking outcomes and
tracking, communicating, helping to ensure accountability.
Leverages existing system functions or develops comprehensive easy
to use systems for tracking projects, enhancing transparency and
efficiency in project management based on project need. Acts as a
conduit for the effective communication of directives from the
Chief Operations Officer to the relevant teams and individuals.
Maintains and organizes essential files and correspondence,
supporting the administrative needs of the Chief Operations Officer
. Oversees the organization and tracking of projects, demonstrating
proactive project management and organizational skills. Adapts to
additional responsibilities as required, demonstrating flexibility
and a commitment to the organization's goals. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare
Administration, Political Science, Project Management, or a related
field is required. At least 5 years of experience in an
Administrative Assistant, Personal Secretary, or Executive
Assistant role, with a preference for experience in supporting
high-level executives. Proven track record in project management,
with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work
collaboratively across all levels of the organization,
demonstrating excellent communication skills. Proficiency in a
second language, particularly Spanish, is preferred, alongside
superior written and verbal communication abilities. Advanced
skills in Microsoft Office and a typing speed of at least 65 WPM.
Experience in dictation and transcription is an added advantage,
reflecting a versatile skill set. Rewards: Job type: Regular Full
