We are looking for a Recruiting and Retention Specialist to join our growing team. If you are:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Organized, curious, empathetic
  • Able to understand applicant qualifications and how they fit in with the needs of the organization
  • Able to exercise judgment and work independently
  • a good connector, who loves to meet new people and knows how to use every opportunity to network and to turn it into business results.
  • A creative problem solver.

    • at least three years' experience in a similar role
    • a sense of humor and a ''can do'' attitude
    • the ability to jump in and take over our employee recognition programs and head up the Culture Crew
    • excellent customer-facing telephone and written communication skills
    • experience with ATS and HRIS systems (we use JazzHR and ADP Workforce Now)
    • a knack for writing compelling copy for job descriptions, inter-office emails, the newsletter and whatever else we need to communicate with the team
    • Facility with Asana and Google Docs/Sheets
    • HR certifications - either SHRM or HRCI - or the desire to continuously improve yourself

Read below for more details.The Recruiting and Retention Specialist develops and implements recruiting plans and strategies designed to fulfill company staffing needs. They are responsible for leading staffing efforts and building and retaining a strong workforce that adds to the company's bottom line by developing deep understanding of the organization and its staffing needs, and possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills. Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs; develops successful candidate profiles.
    • Screens resumes and determines applicant qualifications.
    • Makes recommendations to company hiring managers.
    • Writes and updates job descriptions as needed with management approval.
    • Develops and manages recruiting standards and processes.
    • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new recruitment practices.
    • Maintains employer profiles on job sites - either directly or through others.
    • Improves the company brand outside of the organization.
    • Ensures the onboarding process is welcoming, thorough and incorporates the company culture.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Manages the company's GEM program; leads the Culture Crew.
