PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To administer a variety of functions to support the activities of
the Human Resources Department including termination documentation
and exit packets, after approvals will assist Sr. Director in
processing severance packets; EDD unemployment claims and
verification of invoice statements; annual and follow-up
performance reviews; administration of 403(b) plan; support HRIS
functions, reports and audits; works with HR Clerk in coordinating
service award luncheon.
This is a high-volume position requiring the ability to maintain
the confidentiality of information, to use initiative and good
judgment in performing job functions; accuracy and timeliness in
servicing department customers and the ability to work effectively
in a team environment. Position also requires flexibility and
adaptability in an environment in which priorities change
frequently and in which cross-training and back-up support are each
department member's responsibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers termination supporting documentation and exit paperwork
with the employee's supervisors and Human Resources Management to
ensure compliance with policies, laws, and internal procedures.
Assist Human Resources Management in processing severance
packets.
Administers unemployment claims, verification of EDD statements,
and coordinates conference call with hearing representative for
hearings/appeals. Works directly with unemployment representative
regarding discrepancies and resolution.
Supports HRIS functions, reports, and audits, troubleshooting and
implementation.
Works with supervisor to support OneOC (Court Referred Volunteers)
inquiries, customer service, incident documentation to OncOC and
recordkeeping
Administers day-to-day 403(b) inquiries, online enrollments,
changes, transfers, and hardship withdrawals. Also enters
enrollments and changes into ADP.
Oversees the service award luncheons
Rotation to benefit training for new hire orientation.
Oversees annual and new laws legal posting requirements for
Goodwill and Landmark worksites. Also, coordinates training as
needed.
Administration of Annual Performance Reviews and Follow-up Review
process. Also coordinates and facilitates training as needed.
Performs other job related duties as required including HR
projects.
Works overtime as required.
Drives on company business as required.
Performs other job related duties as required.
Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any
incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company
property.

regulations.

Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and
shares knowledge and information with other employees as
needed.
Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity,

Works with, trains, and/or acts as a good example for program
participants receiving training at Goodwill.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma plus some relevant college-level courses or HR
certification preferred, or equivalent work experience/education
combined.
Two years relevant experience in a Human Resources environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Effective English/grammar skills; verbal and written
communications.
Proficient PC skills including MS Office and the Internet.
Bi-Lingual Spanish or Vietnamese desirable.
Valid California driver's license, liability insurance, and a DMV
record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company.
