Tokyo.The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a vital member
of the Santa Ana Operations leadership team, helping to define,
elevate, and scale the role of human resources across the company.
As an HRBP you will have the primary responsibility of leading the
development and execution of the People strategy across some of our
most critical teams and functions within Operations and across
several Collectors' brands (PSA, PSA/DNA, PCGS Ops, Customer
Service and Grading teams).You will be expected to be curious, and
understand customer sentiment and market trends for the businesses
you support. You'll use your judgment and rationale to explain
policy and make decisions that are fair, considering when
exceptions are needed to do what's right. You should have HR
subject matter expertise, with a focus on employee relations,
people development, performance management, organizational design,
manager development, retention, engagement, equity and inclusion,
and people management across the organization. Leveraging
influencing skills, this role will drive talent and headcount
processes working with the Business Leaders. The ideal candidate
loves to build, thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to
change, acts with a sense of urgency balanced with accuracy, and
can demonstrate strong communication skills to deliver messages
across all levels of the organization. This is an opportunity to
join our organization in the beginning stages of solidifying our
HRBPs within the People organization while getting to manage and
drive high impact people strategies in the fast growing
collectibles space.This role is based out of our office in Santa
Ana, CA. This role is expected to be in the office at least 3 days
per week.What You'll Do
- Be a trusted strategic partner to the Operations leadership
team, partnering directly with the VP, Operations and Grading Room
Lead in Santa Ana build credibility and strong relationships with
executives to influence key priorities on organizational issues
that help the company and our Operations employees grow.
- Partner with the People team to drive initiatives with broad
impact to support organization-wide needs. Initiatives include:
talent assessment and planning, benefits, compliance with
regulations, supporting internal mobility, budget management,
employee experience and retention, talent assessment, succession
planning, leave management, organizational design, company culture,
employee relations, workforce planning, compensation plan
development and reviews and leadership development.
- Act as a change agent as the business continues to reshape
itself with a goal of providing a world class stakeholder and
employee experience.
- Strengthen the leadership team of each function by providing
coaching and development to management stakeholders.
- Promote People strategies that align with Operations team goals
and metrics.
- Drive results through talent development, succession planning,
career development, skills gap analysis, etc.
- Partner with People team and business stakeholders to help
drive and influence decisions on talent, employee experience and
fairness to build a world-class culture.
- Analyze and assess organizational "health" by looking at trends
in performance, employee satisfaction, attrition, inclusion,
etc.Who You Are
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in a high-growth setting;
strong preference for experience working in production-based, light
manufacturing or startup companies.
- Knowledge of US and California labor laws, statutes, etc. which
govern employment policies and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with organizational design and talent
development across a variety of employee groups and functions
(operations, corporate, engineering or product teams).
- Thrive in ambiguity, with changing business climates, customer
motivations and regulations.
- Experience with policy implementation, and employee relations,
as well as knowledge of staffing and compensation strategies,
practices and processes.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented People leader, with an
ability to drive projects through partnerships with senior
management and across People functions.
- Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships
across all levels of the organization and with diverse client
groups to drive major initiatives through the organization and
influence decision makers.
- Demonstrated success in taking a data driven approach to
develop innovative solutions that balance the business strategy and
employee needs.
- Pragmatic problem solver with good judgment who can find root
causes of issues and gain leadership support to address them.
- Proven ability to manage priorities among multiple stakeholders
and multitask or re-prioritize as needed in a fast paced
environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English;
must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.Salary Range: The salary
range for this position is $105,611 - $171,462. Actual compensation
on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory
factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
