Job Summary First American is looking for a passionate, energetic, and motivated Solutions Architect to join our Business Technology Solutions Division at the Corporate campus in Santa Ana, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to the building of a first-class application for our customers and employees. The goal of every one of our teams is to serve our customers. As the Solutions Architect, you will review and develop a strong understanding of the main system and its integrations with other systems. With this understanding you will evaluate, recommend, and develop POC's to enhance the overall system. You will be responsible for making key decisions that will lead to quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Embrace and improve on the concepts behind our working Continuous Delivery deployment pipeline
• Embrace and offer experience in Open-Source technologies and standards
• Champion continuous improvements in software development methodologies
• Evangelize and prototype innovative applications that lead directly to measurable value for business
• Bring service-oriented solutions to the Enterprise with the most extensible architectures possible
• Leverage our elastic hosting infrastructure and automation in all your ideas
• Work with development partners to provide a robust PAAS capability where possible
• Expert comprehension in TDD/BDD, including best practices for exploiting testing frameworks
• Apply experienced knowledge of technologies and innovative techniques to resolve complex development challenges.
• Inspire, educate, and mentor engineers, helping them grow and build a solid foundation for their career.
• Effectively communicate issues, risks, and dependencies with project stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
• Always look for ways to measure the outcome of the work we complete
• Work with the Technical Delivery Manager to create Sprint-based estimates for development of solutions you propose
• Take a lead role in creating clearly referenced architectural diagrams that depict the flow and state of data in systems Requirements
  • 5-10 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Bachelors CS degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Full stack developer background is preferred.
  • Excellence in systems analysis and design
  • Strong experience developing with .NET, React, Angular, NodeJS, Object relational mapping, and Microsoft based technologies
  • Experience managing or taking part in the development and delivery of commercial web applications.
  • Experience technically mentoring and/or leading other engineers
  • Passionate and innovative with a track record of disruptive and progressive change
  • Experience in developing for containers (Docker, AKS) is a huge plus
  • Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development practices and automated testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery practices, tools, and process
  • Understanding of modern cloud architectures and virtualization concerns is essential
  • Strong understanding advantages and disadvantages of leveraging design patterns
  • Ability to rapidly research and evaluate new technologies
  • Verbal and written communication must be clear, concise, and well-articulated
  • Experienced in MS Sql Server and other RDBMS technologies.
  • NoSQL experience a plus (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis)
  • Experience in search technologies like Solr, Elastic is required
