• Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Cleans and strips plating parts.
• Utilizes various hazardous chemicals appropriately in order to strike, wash, rinse, oxidize, deoxidize, blast, passivate, and lubricate parts.
• Sizes, racks, plugs, measures, and troubleshoots production parts and assemblies.
• Operates cadmium plating, anodizing, cleaning, passivation, Chem Film and assemblies.
• Properly disposes of chemicals following policies and procedures.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings - Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
• Must have evening availability as this position is for 2nd Shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job function.   • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Must be able to give and receive written and oral instructions in English.EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience working on a plating line as well as using a micrometer are necessary.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the plating room and manufacturing areas.
  • The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unaided.
