Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY---Machine components to match blue prints and work order requirements and interpret process specification.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS---High School or equivalent preferredExperience---Basic machining concepts---Minimum 2 years as set-up machinist or Advanced Machinist class graduate.SKILL AND EXPERIENCE---Ability to understand and follow work orders, blue prints, process specifications and special job-related instructions.---Lifts, moves, clamps, and bolts fixtures on machines.---Fills tanks with lubricants/coolant---Helps lift and position work-pieces.---Files, grinds, or scrapes sharp edges, scales, or rust from work-pieces.---Hammers out bent or warped areas of metal.---Sorts, marks, or tags finished work.---Check parts using appropriate inspection equipment---Ensure measurements after inspecting is accurate---Reports to supervisor if any dimension is out of tolerance or questionable---Transports material.---Compares work-piece with straightedge to verify conformance to specifications.---Cleans work area, machines, tools, equipment, floors, and all other area in the work place as needed.---Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.---Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools.---Ensures and double check work to make sure part is acceptable without any burrs---Monitors and changes cutting tools (inserts) as needed.---Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machinery.Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Please submit your resume to Isaiah Crawley at icrawley@volt.comCell 714.367.6928 call or textJob ID : 371171
