The Spirit of the Position:
Parking Enforcement Officer plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.
Principal Job Duties:
Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations in the City of Santa Ana pursuant to the Santa Ana Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code.
Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking citations and transfer citation data to centralized system.
Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public.
Regularly communicate general information regarding citation issuance, parking regulations, citation adjudication, and Anta Ana geographic.
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and directives of LAZ Parking and the City of Satna Ana.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Parking enforcement officers must:
be at least 21 years of age
possess a valid California driver license
have or obtain at their own cost a California Guard Card
join Teamsters Local 911 Union
fluently read, write, and speak the English language
possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Successful applicants must be:
Willing to work in the elements - heat, wind, rain, etc.
Lift, push, and pull at least"25 pounds.
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift)
Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
