Our client is a world-renowned, single-source provider of production and automated assembly systems for the aerospace and defense industry. They produce a full suite of mold and assembly tooling required for the aerospace manufacturing market, including the largest Invar molds ever made- making them the largest tooling group in the industry. They are seeking self-motivated, safe, positive, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented individuals for an immediate opening as Welder 2. What Is In It For You Salary: $20 - 30/hr, depending on relevant industry experience. Benefits: Paid (individual) health insurance, life and disability insurance, and paid vacation and sick time. Relocation: Open to paying relocation costs. A Day In The Life of a Welder As Welder 2, you will be responsible for fitting and welding steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 parts using a MIG/TIG process under shop supervision. Essential Job Functions For The Welder 2 In Santa Ana, CA: Ability to set up welding machines based on the specifications of the job Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements MIG/TIG weld steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings Repair broken or damaged parts Fabricate and revise fixtures, jigs, gauges, hand applies, and special tooling and components Keep the work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency May be required to travel up to 25% Any additional duties assigned by management Required Skills, Education & Experience: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience and/or completion of a certificate program in welding from a college or technical school Experience with Steel, aluminum, and/or Invar 36 Experience with MIG and TIG welding required Knowledge of machines and tool Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, and tape measure If you are interested in the Welder 2 job in Santa Ana, California, apply today!
