We are looking for a Logistics Specialist II who will be responsible for - coordinating -and expediting -the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical logistics specialist is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands Required Experience and Education:
    • 5+ years of related experience required
    • Bachler's Degree preferred
    • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
    • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Systems background & experience -- Will work w/ offsite Warehouses and work through system transactions (based on emails and phone calls)
    • Experience in ERP/ WMS (Warehouse management System)/ SAP
    • Basic understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics
    • Background in consumer electronics/home appliance is a plus Necessary Skills and Attributes:
      • Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
      • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
      • Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
      • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
      • Advance Excel skills is a MUST - - heavy use of Excel data on a regular basis
      • Must be VERY meticulous
      • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
      • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Operatea computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% -95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requiresconsiderable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail,numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normallyperiodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectualchallenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.May require working additional time beyond normal schedule andperiodic travel.
