DESCRIPTION Michael Bakers Water/Wastewater Practice is seeking an Electrical Associate. Our Electrical Associate will Make a Difference by supporting our many public (i.e., water districts and municipal agencies), and private sector clients throughout southern California with their next challenging projects. The successful candidate will join a well-established and reputable team of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, designers, and drafters that is well funded and stable. RESPONSIBILITIES Duties will include planning, design, and project delivery for a variety of projects related to electrical design for water/wastewater infrastructures and facilities, campuses, roadways, buildings. • Perform analysis, calculations, and design for a specific area of technical expertise which includesElectrical Power Distribution, Lighting,SCADA, Emergency and Renewable Power,Telemetry, and additional special systems and products to support project objectives and meet the projects design criteria.
• Assisting project managers with project coordination and development of planning concepts and design strategies.
• Collaborate with other engineering personnel in the creation ofelectrical system designfor projects related towater/wastewater facilities.
• Communicating directly with colleagues, clients, utility providers, vendors, and other project stakeholders to effectively coordinate and resolve project issues. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess a bachelors degree in electrical engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience
  • EIT in California preferred
  • Able to work in team environment and provide electrical engineering design of water/wastewater facilitiesinfrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of government and industry local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects preferred
  • Have excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) preffered
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Availability to occasionally travel to project locations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable. candidate. COMPENSATIONThe salary range for this position is $66,000 - $95,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. BENEFITSWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
