  • Job Summary
    • Works hand-in-hand with Outside Sales Associates by performing the administrative functions that ensure our customers' needs are being met.
    • Support the Outside Sales team by ensuring personalized customer service through timely quotations and accurate order processing.
    • Updates customer orders/bids, coordinates deliveries with the warehouse, and answer calls for general information.
    • Responsible for generating new sales opportunities via phone or e-mail prospecting.

      • General Accountabilities
        • Responds promptly to customer inquiries for pricing, material availability, quotes, material questions, etc. Inquires may come from telephone calls, e-mails, online requests, outside salesmen and/or faxed correspondence.
        • Prepares and submits quotes. Enters orders, quotes and pricing efficiently and correctly into company systems.
        • Enter, monitor and maintain CRM entries for active quotes from bid thru award and initial shipping.
        • Coordinates inventory needs with the warehouse and purchasing to ensure on-time deliveries and proper inventory levels needed to fill current orders. Procures and submits purchase orders as needed.
        • Maximizes selling effort by focusing on up-selling, adding on material, and gathering information on future customer projects/needs.
        • Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
        • Develops relationships with existing customers, and insures their satisfaction with our products and services at all times.
        • Prospects for new sales opportunities. Generates leads via outbound calls and e-mails.
        • Resolves customer issues. Tracks open sales orders.
        • Support and promote the UWW core values and maintain a winning and positive attitude.
        • Participate and engage in daily sales meetings.
        • Assist in training and mentoring of the warehouse team.
        • Maintain and grow sales volume of existing accounts.
        • Maintain and grow profit of existing accounts.

        • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively; Listens and gets clarification when necessary; Responds informatively to questions.

        • Cost Consciousness - Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures; Conserves company resources.
        • Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Meets commitments.
        • Minimum Education: High School diploma
        • Minimum Experience:1 - 3 Years of Sales
        • Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
        • Preferred Experience: 3-5 Years
