Job Description The General Manager / Head of Sales will work
hand in hand with the owner of the company to build out a sales
team and manage the overall business as a whole. The owner has
developed a 5 year plan to build out the sales team and then sell
half of the business to a private equity company. This position
will be given a substantial stock option compensation plan so they
get to participate in the partial sale of the company in 5 years.
About The Company The company was founded 7 years ago, since
inception we have been a very successful and profitable business.
The owner is now ready to ramp up the sales team for approximately
5 years and then sell half the business to a private equity
company. After that, they will take a backseat role and the general
manager will fill the CEO role. Position Summary Directly manage
every aspect of a sales team. We plan to hire 4 sales
representatives every 6 months for 5 years. Assist in developing a
budget and price estimate using standard models Communicate back to
internal groups the outcome of negotiations/proposals focusing on
conveying the expectations set forth for each group (e.g., clear
details, critical timeframes, and expectations) Track and report
the status of the sales team Participate in activities needed to
support the management functions of the company Perform other
duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High school diploma or
G.E.D. equivalent 3-5 years minimum managing a 10 person sales team
Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent
organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Willingness to
travel Ability to speak either fluent Japanese, Korean, or Chinese
